Happy Valentine’s everyone ;)
Hope you will have a great and loving day today.
I won’t keep you long today cause I am sure you are going to be too busy doing stuff with your significant one. I know I will be, lol.
I wanna remind you of a great thing you can get your significant one for Valentine’s, or any other holiday, or birthday, anniversary or just because he/she is the greatest person alive. Or even better, this is the perfect present for you as a blogger!
Today, I realized (although I kinda knew it already) how much I love my Amazon Kindle. I was surfing the Amazon site and saw that they are really doing a great job promoting Kindle as the most wanted Valentines gift.
So I connected the dots and thought of adding my own vote for Kindle as well.
I just love my Amazon Kindle
I got my Kindle as a Christmas present at the end of 2009. I love it and it is one of the most useful pieces of electronics I have ever had.
I love reading so it would be obvious that this e-book reader would always be my choice of the best presents for anyone.
How can Kindle be a great present for a blogger?
I spent the bare minimum of time online the last week. I tried to be fair to my hubby and people I was spending my vacation with, so I thought it would not be nice to stare at my computer all day long.
But no one ever said that I could not read in the spare time, between sightseeing and playing games.
So I actually tried to catch up on reading some of the “millions” of e-books I got from all the blogs I frequent. I thought I might even learn something.
My Kindle was there for me, and I actually managed to read a few of the books that were lined up and waiting.
As a blogger, you can use Kindle to it’s max potential. You can catch up on your reading every spare minute you have, it is easy to carry around, it will hold a loooooot of books (up to 3.500) and you can even upload music and listen to it while reading.
You can connect to Wi-Fi and download more books. The best thing is reading a recommendation from a blogger you trust, going straight to Amazon, buying the recommended book and reading it as you go.
Oh, have I mentioned that you can actually share the most interesting passages with your friends on Twitter and Facebook. Talk about some networking.
I also learned a thing or two while catching up on my read.
The main tip for all of you writing your own e-books/products to sell:
re-read your writing at least 10 times before you publish the book, then give it to at least 5 people to read it and correct the mistakes.
My God, was I annoyed… reading a book that would have been great if it had been written with all the words a sentence should have!
Extra tip for all of you writing e-books
Kindle and other e-book readers are the future. Wait, no…. They are the present. Get the max out of them. When you write a book and create a PDF file out of it, make sure the font is not too small because Kindle (at least my version) can not zoom the page over a certain point.
Or even better, once you have created the book why not create the Kindle version of it? You can include links to Amazon books you want to promote or some other things that are easily accessible on Kindle instead of links to some other affiliate products.
Don’t forget that you can publish your blog on Kindle!
OK, I will stop here and let you spend some quality time with your honey-bunny. I could talk about Kindle day and night, that is how much I love it.
But I told you the most important:
- you can carry it with you all the time and read while waiting for your flight, riding a bus… (way easier than with a lap top)
- it will fit up to 3.500 books so you can catch up on your reading when ever you have time and where ever you are
- the price is so affordable it would be crazy not to buy it
- the battery lasts almost forever, literally for days and days
I also mentioned a tip or two you can use as a blogger, so all I need you to do now is answer these:
- Do you have an e-book reader (any) and how do you use it?
- Do you have additional tips for bloggers, related to these e-book readers?
