I think you know how careful I am about recommending stuff to you on this blog? I make sure only to recommend the best that will help you with your blog, website, online business…
This time, I am recommending a book that is the best thing I am recommending since the day 1 of this blog!
I have met Dahlia from ThatIMThing.com months ago and loved her work from the first day I saw her blog. The way she writes is what I love cause I can actually understand everything ;)
My first book by Dahlia
The first thing I read was a big list of Amazon products, with pages and pages of high priced, proven-to-sell products with great reviews on Amazon. Instead doing your own research, she made a comprehensive list of the best products you should promote and make money.
Along with the list, she had detailed instructions how to find selling keywords for those product and all the great words and ideas to use to write the product reviews. Basically she did all the work for you.
This is the comment I left on her blog, what I thought of that book:
When it comes to the list of Amazon products, I really had to give it a go and found several products to include in my first niche site. It is a pet site where I make nice cash BUT all Amazon sales and Adsense money is in the low range, so it is the amount of sales it makes that makes it work.
I read carefully through your Amazon list along with the tutorial and picked ONE product to build a page around. It was less than a week later that the page was ranked on second page of Google (thanks to the great status of the site) and that resulted in – SALES. It was really good to see a sale of a $150 product on a site that has products in range of $1 to $50.
But, no this is not the book I am talking about here (although it is an amazing one).
THE book – THE masterpiece!
She has a new 189 pages masterpiece I read in one breath (thanks God for my Kindle, lol) – Creating e-books that are Impulse Buyer Magnets.
When I started reading it, somewhere around page 9, I was already shocked by what Dahlia was saying. It hit me in the head like a 200 Lbs rock!
To get to the point — is there anything I didn’t like about the book? NO! Nothing. It is perfect, amazing and a must-have.
Number one promise Dahlia gives you in this book is that after you read it, you will have ideas for at least 4 new e-books! Yes, 4!
Is that true? Yes, I tried it and it sure works.
She explains exactly what to do, from the moment you sit down in front of your computer to the moment when you get up to go to the bank and pick up the cash :) I kid you not.
She starts by explaining what impulse buyers are and how that category relates to her e-book successes and failures.
Dahlia tells you:
- how to find topics for your books
- how to do a complete research for them
- where to do the research
- what you must include in those books
- how to determine your audience
- where to publish them
- how to price them
- how to promote them
- where and how to pitch your book to help you promote it more
- piles and piles of tools and products you can use (I like that she tries to keep them free or very cheap most of the time)
- she even tells you if you should have those minisites to sell your books
Guess what… Although I have several products I bought, that I need to read, I am now starting to read this book for the second time. This time, I am taking more notes and doing it again! Why stop at 4 book ideas!?
I was thinking about telling you about the things I learned from this book, but I can’t list it all. But there is one thing I really loved that sticks out.
I used to read about mind maps a lot but never got around to doing them. Well, Dahlia explains a great strategy of compiling your info and book ideas in mind maps (very detailed instructions in the book), how to create them, how to create branches, what to put in the map fields… everything!
