Did you see me make a HUGE mistake?
Did you catch me falling down the slope I’d JUST warned everyone against?
About 2 weeks ago, I lined out the upcoming re-focusing of this blog in a post on my 90 day re-evaluation.
This is a follow up with the story of an OOPS! I made…
In the world of attraction marketing and self-branding, it is tempting to let our niche drift wider and wider as we expose more of who we are to our audience. However, this can create problems related to getting traction in the industry. It is far easier to compete in a very narrow niche, than on a huge playing field!
So…For those trying to keep track!
My personal development work (and soon community board or forum) & also Affiliate & Internet Marketing. In case you’re curious I really have not concluded what direction I will eventually take my OTJ blog beyond a community forum. The Marketing Blog is in the hands of my new secret ninja business partner and is also currently not on my focus list. For now majority of my focus remains (as it should!!) on this blog. I invite you to follow the others if they interest you but understand the significantly different roll they play. The beauty of the new format is that rather than becoming more things that I need to stress over, I now have a place to “brain dump” a lot of what I’m learning without a lot of added stress or trying to keep it all in my head until I find somewhere to share it.
So what’s YOUR view on correctly defining niche’s? What have you tried that has or hasn’t worked? If you’ve been in the industry longer than I have, what has your own niche progression looked like over time? I look forward to hearing your stories!
