There’s something wrong with your tweets!
Every time you post your messages on twitter, no matter which application you use, did you realize you’re giving away your valuable branding power, real estate and back links to someone else?
Branding on Twitter
In branding, we realize how important it is to strategically keep our brand out there every chance possible and minimize advertising for a brand that we may not consciously choose to represent. We also usually have a strong desire to capitalize on every chance to increase our branding, particularly when we can do it for free! You always want learn how to use twitter to build your brand , and here is a great way!
If you use twitter clients such as TweetDeck, Seesmic, Hootsuite, or virtually any other application including twitter’s own website, you can simply check your twitter feed now and you’ll see what I mean … every single tweet you make on your page has their name on it. Perhaps even worse for you and better for them is that it has a link back to THEIR website. (Except the Hootsuite client which is currently breaking the links)
So every tweet you make is advertising for THEM!
Until now however, there wasn’t a darn thing you could do about.
Now You Can Brand Your Tweets!
Yesterday I came across a solution to this problem… that I hadn’t even known I had before!

With only about 10 minutes of setup you’ll be able to:

1. Brand your tweets with your own name.
2. Insert a link back to your own website.
3. Show the world that you mean business!
The solution is “TweetBrand“, by the makers of the soon-to-be released Market Me Tweets, which I plan to affiliate for after I have had a chance to review them.
You can get your free copy of “TweetBrand” however from here!
There’s nothing to buy there. Just go to the page, download the software and follow the easy instructions to get started. (Don’t skip the video!)
It’s as easy as that that and won’t cost you a dime!
A TweetBrand Review
So what’s the downside? The downside is that “TweetBrand” is a very basic application and while that makes it very simple to use, many will find it lacking in a rich feature set. For those that write a lot of hand entered tweets, such as while sharing news about the day or while telling their follower about an immediately upcoming event, this application fits the bill. It’s light weight and I enjoy using it during the day to share “what’s happening now” tidbits on twitter. It is a darling little application with much of the “simple” charm that inspires people to tweet in the first place! However for many like myself, who love the feature rich environment of HootSuite or TweetSpinner, TweetBrand is a great way to check out what we’re lacking and how it can be fixed yet is unfortunately basic.
I am optimistic about the release of the some companies upcoming Market Me Tweet. A pre-launch video was just released and it appears it will bring a rich feature set to the table. If you like check out the video you can do so here.
I currently affiliate for TweetSpinner who I deeply adore. I feel TweetSpinner currently brings the most comprehensive twitter management software to the table. It is however not a twitter client itself. Market Me Tweet appears to bring a feature rich twitter client and twitter management software utility together in one package. I look forward to sharing more about Market Me Tweet with you after it launches.
In the meantime, be sure to pick up your completely free copy of TweetBrand and check out what I’m so excited about! You can get it here!

Yeah, heck I didn’t know either. I mean we all know the application link is there, yet we don’t think about how many times a day we see it. That’s incredible exposure that is sinking straight to the subconscious! This is a nice practical little tool!
This is so good to know – Thanks for taking the time to review this, Kimberly – didn’t even know about Twitter Branding and this seems to be something that probably many people on Twitter have not, yet gotten into much. You go the extra mile and I so appreciate the research you take the time do to – it makes my social media world so much better and easier.
I’m sure with your background your aware of the incredibly powerful effect that watching those same application signatures go by thousands of times on twitter has on the subconscious! I had seen them and not thought too much of them until I came across this little gem! It’s a cute solution to a problem I hadnt realized I’d had! Thanks for stopping in!
Wow, this sounds amazing. Thanks for letting us all know. I’m very interested in the next level. Keep us posted!

Will be having a look at this little tool. Thanks. Also noticed my name automatically goes into all your optin boxes on your site – I want one too – how can I do this? New captcha code as well – how am I ever going to keep up with you. Your site is looking really good by the way, can see you have been doing some updates. I better pull my socks up as I can see there is work to do now on my site.
There is a ton of optin-form magic going on on my blog currently… a footer on first visit, a (second, automatically generated) sidebar widget form, a optin in the end of my post, an optin in the comment section on third post, the auto-form fill , etc…) All of it is coming from the absolutely delightful “Subscription Magnet” that I am beta testing for the wonderful company MBP (MaxBlogPress). I don’t know if that will be its final name when it comes out of beta but it is definitely a treat. I loved them before and now getting to work directly with Pawan, their main guy, just has me convinced all over again. Love being their affiliate.
The new captcha is “si captcha” if you want to go ahead and switch. I have a blog post on that I need to write as soon as I’m convinced its the answer (I think it is). The block-spam-by-math proved to have a rare, intermittent but out of the range of acceptable bug. I *HOPE* this one is easy enough to read (and the colors help) that folks will not mind as badly as most captcha. Again, blog post coming soon.
I’ve definitely been busting tail to clean up some issues, add some things that were missing, and generally make it look a little less sterile around here. I’ve got no shortage of stuff to blog on that’s for sure!
Thanks for the great information. I had never paid much attention to the part of the link that screams the name of the client ( I use Tweetdeck). But I will now!
Hey Kristina! Since TweetBrand came on the scene, several applications can now affect the branding line. TweetBrand (free) and MarketMeTweet (their pro) as well as TweetSpinner (which I use) all have the ability to change that link now to link to our websites. Twitters rules ban us against pointing it to a sales/affiliate/capture page but it’s perfect to direct to a blog or website home page! Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thanks Kim!
I’ve been searching for a good twitter marketing app. So many look spammy.
I noticed it long before. When I added tweet anywhere plugin for my blog, the tweet displayed ‘from seommotips’. I said that’s cool!. But it is not possible to tweet every message from your site.
Thanks Kimi, for this, its really a good power to achieve.

Hi Kim!
We were looking forward to trying this service for free, but we are too late!
Now this service is called MarketMeSuite, and we’ve heard great things about it. It’s not free anymore but very affordable. As our blog and following grows, we’ll probably subscribe to their service.
Thanks for the review!
I’ve been using tweet branding feature when MMS was a paid tool. Now since it is free branding is only available for real time tweets. For “send to all” (tweeting to multiple twitter accounts at the same time) and for scheduled tweets, the branding doesn’t work.
BTW, the TweetBrand link returns a blank page!
