Introducing Buffer for Twitter, the fastest way to time-delay the hundreds of enjoyable blog posts you read for maximum exposure with minimum headache for your twitter followers!
Recently two of my favorite bloggers, Ileane from Basic Blog Tips and Brankica from Live Your Love introduced me to Buffer app… a handy little application that’s a must have if you’ve ever been known to a dozen tweets of blog shares back-to-back!
I already use a number of tools such as TweetSpinner (advanced tweet scheduling and management), Hootsuite (best twitter management client with built in scheduler), Triberr (a quid pro quo twitter syndication exchanger) and more. So one has to wonder how I could need one more application!
Well the truth is that I do the bulk of my blog reading and syndication by hand and because I read fast that often means I can log-jam a dozen tweets into my stream in real short order! This doesn’t help me (it annoys my followers) and it doesn’t help the blogger (because only the first one or two get seen).
For the longest time I was using Hootsuite’s scheduler to manually schedule each tweet, but that’s not only the original copy/paste, but also about four additional clicks and having to futz with the interface.
Welcome Buffer to the stage….
Buffer lets me simply copy/paste the tweet into their interface (using either their webpage, bookmarklet or add-on) and let *IT* handle all the timing nonsense! Yay for less headache for all parties!
There is both a free version and a paid version.
Oh and I recently had a nice chat with Leon Widrich @LeoWid one of the co-founders, and you now by now how much I like sociable polite people right?
Now, I’m not saying you won’t still occasionally have to handle some tweets through Hootsuite’s scheduling (you definitely will) but this is so fast and simple (particularly if you’re already pasting the tweet into Ping.FM’s dashboard for bookmarking) that I know you’re going to love it!
What is your favorite twitter app?
PS: The new analytics are very nice too!
