Critical Review of
Jonathan Budd’s MLM Launch Formula
The Launch of the MLM Launch Formula
Jonathan Budd, network marketing mastermind and Mark Hoverson, top recruiter for a one of the largest MLM companies online, joined forces recently to not only offer to educate you on how to successfully execute a MLM Launch but also to walk you through the experience of such a launch.
In six short days, Jonathan Budd & Mark Hoverson have demonstrated EXACTLY what they have set out to teach you. We were hooked by the electric atmosphere, riveted to the flow of information and made eager to pull out our wallets and hand them over as fast as we could! You have now taken part in a strategically delivered marketing “experience” designed to place you in a buyers trance and obstruct the rational thought process. This is PROOF that the concept works.
BUT SNAP OUT OF IT!
COLD WATER TO THE FACE!
There. Much better. Welcome back to reality space cadet. You’ve been skillfully played in the most powerful of manners. Some would argue for your own good as well, since it spoke to your deepest desires and tugged at your emotions so strongly. This is exactly the state you can employ to skyrocket your sales and what MLM Launch Formula sets out to teach you. The fact that it worked on you is proof it will work on just about anyone. Now, lets get to work with a review of the MLM Launch Formula…
Will It Work For You?
This system will work well for you… if…
- You have your marketing funnel including opt-in offer and auto-responder fully set up
- You have already been list building and have an absolute minimum of several hundred on your list
- You have enough foundation learning in place that you’re no longer struggling with the basics of social media, networking, list building etc… and have began to move into product creation.
You MUST treat your business like a business! You MUST think critically about time and monetary investments. You MUST review the MLM Launch Formula in light of your own current business situation. You MUST have your marketing funnel in place – AND – Your list in place – AND – Your foundation learning in place. You must do all of this FIRST before even DREAMING of success with this purchase.
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The Good: Product creation and product launch *IS* how the game is played. If you want to make it big in MLM 2.0, you must have not only the fundamentals but also the skill set (including copywriting) required to turn a list into a goldmine. The product is priced competitively on its own but becomes a sound purchase financially speaking when bought through a super affiliate that is bundling it with a ton of their own goodies. If you plan to buy, it’s these additional “bonus offers” from affiliates that sweeten the pot!
The Bad: There hasn’t been a lot of talk of what its going to take to make this program effective for the average network marketing distributor/owner. We must remember to keep our heads about us and ask rational questions. Lead with your heart, but follow with your head!
The Ugly: If your list is not already strong (sub-500 might be fine, sub-200 is not) AND your fundamentals in place… this will be nothing but a glorified paperweight. Oh, wait its digital… so make that just one more random file on your hard drive. If you are not positioned to use this, you’re not positioned to use this… it’s that simple! Also, if the $297 impedes your ability to handle necessary operating expenses such as your auto-responder, hosting and other monthly bills as well as have emergency cash, then it is dangerous to the operation of your business. Like many launches, there is an awful lot of hype going into pushing it at people that are either not ready to benefit, not able to benefit or would be in financial jeopardy trying purchase this program.
As I mention later in this review, there are also some unknown elements that we simply can not comment on at this time. These types of unknown are ugly because they are a gamble. Gambling with finances is tricky. Fortunately Jonathan Budd has a strong track record of educational products and we can hope that this joins the ranks of one of his best.
How Do I Know If It’s Right For Me?
Here’s some simple questions you can ask yourself…
- Is my marketing funnel including my opt-in offer and auto-responder series fully in place and tested?
- Can I willing to dedicate the time it will take not only to watch these modules and to attend the live calls but also to implement these new skills so I learn them through practice.
- Can I shift enough education budget so that $297 does not cripple my cash flow?
- Do I have my OWN product in place to promote?
- Do I have my OWN list in place, ready to be promoted to?
- Do I have enough mental resources at the moment to take on another heavyweight learning environment or am I already at risk for overwhelm?
- What aspects of list building or other fundamentals can I work on – right now – so that I am better positioned when this very likely re-launches in the future.
Reviewing the MLM Launch Formula
None of the above points out a problem with EVERY SINGLE REVIEW of the MLM Launch Formula – including my own – at this moment. That’s that not a single person, affiliate or otherwise, other than the creators and their team, have actually SEEN the product. There are a lot of reviews floating around at the moment, several of them claiming to be critical reviews, that are nothing more than veiled sales attempts that do not point out the inherent problems.
Because this is the first time this has been launched, and all new members of the MLM Launch Formula are “founding members”, no one has all the details. I can not for example comment on whether the system does a good job teaching the method. I can not tell you if the videos, workbooks and other training aids are useful. I can only tell you about the background of the industry, where the industry is today and what the real pros and cons are of this system based on what we know from the pre-launch. Anyone else that tries to do more (or less!) than that is strictly out to help themselves to your cash. Sadly, there’s a lot of that going on too.
It’s very temping to let the “deadline” seemingly “force” us into getting our wallets out. The what-ifs drive us mad when we see these types of deadlines. However, you’ve already been taught the psychology of the game being played… which means you don’t have to bite. No doubt you are feeling that pull though and it’s probably why you’re here reading this. Above you saw me mention “founding member” and that quote came from the post-purchase material. I feel incredibly comfortable saying that I fully believe that (like almost all of JB’s material that this offer-remove-offer method is used on) this program will be back on the market again in the future.
If we review the MLM Launch Formula on price this program is surprisingly competitively. On its own, its a fair deal particularly with the handful of live group coaching calls. However, I would NOT buy this program direct. If you plan to purchase, you can greatly increase the gain in this purchase by purchasing early through an affiliate that has made a strong bundled offer. Depending on when you see this, many of the fast action bonuses may already be gone but quite a few affiliates are offering bonuses available to all purchasers through their link. Be sure to clear your browser cookies though before you click the link to your preferred affiliate. If finances are tight, I wouldn’t bother, but if you meet the criteria above for someone this will work for and if your finances are in order, this program is positioned smartly.
Beware the upsell offers of stuff you probably don’t need. The bulk of this launches money is going to be made on the upsells. That’s the way this works. It’s strategic, intentional, and hard on the wallet. I really really caution you about these offers as they are not what we are reviewing here, are not what you were pre-sold and are often purchases made in the heat of the moment. JB’s upsell list, on the MLM Launch Formula product is like the upsell that never ends… I was waiting on him to sell me his socks too! After a while you start picturing the video that goes with that as he tells me what a great deal these socks are, how successful they will make me, how you can’t get much closer to a millionaire short of buying his underpants, and how if I hurry he’ll even throw in his empty tube of deodorant ;) Hurry though, supplies are seriously limited – get your JB socks for only 2 easy payments of $49.99!!
Yes, I purchased this product after consideration of what my own business needs are. For me, the purchase was timely because I have almost finished my other classes I am taking, have been getting good work done on my marketing funnel (although its not together yet I will say with some serious chagrin), and… most importantly for me… I used the affiliate leverage to get what I would have paid the affiliate the $297 for… to essentially get the MLM Launch Formula for free. Think about that… I got what I NEEDED for my business.. with an incredibly handsome bonus of this program essentially for free. Now, to accomplish that though, you have to find an affiliate bundle that meets your needs and you would have purchased from anyways. Plus, the MLM Launch Formula was timely as I have been looking for ways to increase the response rate to the really awesome social media marketing and blogging class I teach that too few seem to know about yet! For myself, I went with what Justin Glover was offering because Justin has been key in giving me low-hype, straight shooting marketing answers when I’ve needed them. He’s got an extremely strong bonus bundle that was hard for me to beat both in terms of content and in odds of getting in one of the early sales on. Gunning to be one of the top 5 or 10 for a super affiliate such as Katie Freiling is next to impossible if we want to be realistic. (Plus I felt very good about his affiliate commissions going to help a family member with a severe health crisis. See the note near the bottom of his post.)
Summary Reviewing the MLM Launch Formula
Using a launch formula is how money is made in countless industries and it works pretty well for those using it in MLMs as well. A launch formula can be just the ticket to keeping your ongoing years in the same MLM looking fresh and hot! It plays into people’s love of getting a new “shiny”. (It won’t however help with retention so be sure your follow through is in place!) This program is competitively priced and ideal for the mid-level network marketer that has the fundamentals down and is ready to up their game.
However, its incredibly important to be a “informed buyer”. You must be keenly aware of where your business stands, what is and is not in place, what your current educational budget is, and what your other opportunities are before you consider ANY purchase. This program can be well worth the investment but only if you are willing to do the work to find a strong affiliate bundle AND to give it the time and EFFORT it will take to implement it. It does not matter how good the system is, if you leave it sitting on your desk its a waste of money. Know your business and treat it as a business!
