Do You Need A Micro Niche?
To micro niche or not micro niche, that is the question!
Honestly, the answer to that question is a very personal and independent one.
Here are a few questions to consider before you decide:
1) What Do You Want To Accomplish With Your Website?
If rapid profits are your number one goal then you may consider choosing a micro niche. Many marketers are able to start making money and building an audience right away with a micro niche.
If long term growth and success is more important to you then you may consider choosing a niche.
However, note that if you choose a micro niche, you can always build upon that too. It’s a lot easier to broaden out a site than it is to narrow it up over time in most cases.
2) How Much Time Do You Have?
Are you a full time marketer or is this a part time endeavor? Many people build websites as a means to generate a supplemental income or to get online and share their knowledge and information with those who are looking for it.
If you have limited time to spend writing content and building your site then consider a micro niche.
If you have full time availability then you may choose to broaden your topic a bit. While it’ll take longer to build a following, you can appeal to more people.
And if you want to build an audience based on a topic you’re already knowledgeable in and devoted to then choose that niche. Share your knowledge and information and enjoy your time online.
3) How Much Content Can You Really Create?
One of the potential problems with a micro niche is that you may simply run out of content ideas.
How many articles can you write about your potential micro niche? With any website you’ll want to be able to deliver fresh content on a consistent basis. If you know you’re going to run out of content topics to discuss consider broadening your topic unless you are only aiming for SEO ranking of the micro niche site.
So, what’s right for you niche or micro niche? Spend some time considering your preference and the potential for growth. Only you can really say what is best for you because only you know your own specific objectives!
