Facebook Review Pages Tab Alternatives

Review Tab To Facebook

No one can deny the incredible power of adding user generated social reviews to your marketing!

Adding a Fan Review style tab to Facebook can let you leverage the power of your existing loyal community to more quickly build additional community!

Some apps can even cause the review to be shared on the wall of the reviewer and thus contribute to viral growth!

How cool is that?!

Fan Review Apps For Facebook

Before we dive in, I should note that this is one of several Facebook app segments that lack any quality apps in the free department. There are a couple of very very rough free apps but they are honestly not worth mentioning at this time. Hopefully this is an area that will improve next year.

So, I present you with three different premium apps of different types and pricing to help you find a Facebook review app that meets your needs.

Social Reviews Plus

Social Reviews Plus was one of the first to the enter the market with a useful fan reviews app. They are priced very competitively, with no monthly fee. However, it’s worth noting that the app has no deep FB integration. This is a “win” in that reviewers need not approve the app before posting but also a “loss” because the reviews are not posted to the wall of the reviewer and viral traction is not possible.  This app is in “finished” development and I think it is unlikely it will be improved in the future.

Fan Reviews Engine

The super-awesome and best-in-class fan review app, without a doubt, is Fan Reviews Engine, by the SmashIt Social team! This app does everything you’d expect and MORE!  Not only does it strongly generate viral activity but it even goes so far as to have a “widget” that you can display on your blog!  Best in class however comes with a hefty price tag.

WP Social Reviews

If you already have a site set up to handle SSL based iframes for custom FB apps, then you might have a look at “WP Social Reviews”. I have not tested this app as I only recently discovered it. However, due to it’s competitive pricing and ability to be have different scores for your different products, it may be the perfect solution for some businesses. I wouldn’t do this without SSL however.

I must admit that I am missing the tabs, since Facebook completely change Facebook API, I think many companies just lost a lot of money on development work and interaction with customers.
I haven’t tried any of this apps, but I am going to make a test now, actually I bought and installed SSL for few of my main projects, so I think it should be like straight forward process and API connection for this apps.

This is actually a new concept for me. I was taking the Alexa reviews very seriously for public reviews about my blog but a Facebook review tab should be better. Thanks for the information.

    Hey Kim,

Gotta say that I’ve been off the grid for a while and had no idea of this. As usual, YOU introduce me to the latest and greatest.
Having this will boost your brand and it’s a great thing to do. So, I am off to try this out.
Many thanks once again for being such a great mentor!

I was actually using the Facebook Recommendations option on my page to generate reviews. But the problem was that they really wern’t something that a lot of people filled out for me. It was only when I helped someone with a problem online and specifically asked them to do it did I get one. How are these any different in the way of ease of use to get people to fill them out? You know people don’t like extra steps.

I actually agree with the point shared by Clint Butler that nowadays Facebook is creating so many things that can change the frequency of sites to a great extent.

Hold contact with visitors may be quite easy with facebook but every month re-novation of facebook make it almost impossible.

  7. says

Wow, $97 per month for Fan reviews is really expensive. I wish they could just have a one time payment that’s more affordable. I wonder, though, since the reviews of my kindle books and my soon to be launched app is in Amazon and iTunes, is there an app that could pull out these reviews and embed it on a tab in the Facebook page?
