Why I Left
Ahhhh… the sweet feeling of being able to take a deep breath and know my site is going to stay online!
It sounds simple, but it’s been a pleasure I’ve not had for well over a year!
In fact, things were so bad, that Nile and I stopped taking hosting clients onto our server because we simply did not feel we had the reliability under us to ensure them a fantastic experience. (That’s sad!)
Curious why we abandoned HostGator hosting?
The link, to Nile’s blog below, details the story of why Nile Flores and I finally had to give up on our dedicated server over at HG. (We replaced it with one at A2Hosting.)
HostGator is one of many EIG-owned companies that I strongly recommend NOT risking your business by using.
But the migration is done! The new server is FAST! And as soon as we sort out a few remaining hiccups resulting from poor things HG did that are still giving us fits, it’ll be smooth sailing.
Nile and I were so happy to be moved that we went out for lunch today to celebrate!
Look us up if you need web hosting now – we are finally able to resume offering awesome WordPress-optimized hosting to you, at fantastic prices! Click this link and after check out, be sure to fill in the form and mention that Kim sent you :)
… and let us know what you think of all of the nonsense that has taken place since EIG bought so many hosting companies.

As she says, “Wake up HostGator! Wake up EIG! You’re losing long time loyal customers that were making you money. Are you telling me you don’t want my business? I’m really upset. I know I’m not the only one.”
If you’re hosting with any company now owned by EIG, I urge you to take the greatest caution. It is really sad that so many formerly great companies have fallen into their hands.

PS: In case you’re curious whose site they got de-indexed (from the story in her blog post)… it was mine. Yeah, not cool.
