By combining Google Analytics, with analytics from WP Subscribers, and with the click-stats provided by your email provider such as Aweber… you can get a strong understanding of where, when, and why your readers converted to becoming email opt-in subscribers!
(The tracking in the three of these tools is not redundant. Each one tells you some different things about your subscriber and can prove useful and profitable to know down the road even if you are not using the stats today.)
As Dewane mentioned, this allows you to begin the process of tweaking things until you are maximizing your traffic.
