No, Really, I Do NOT Want
Replies From 500 People I Don’t Know!
Fortunately, the NEW Facebook message system comes to the rescue!
Formerly, if someone sent a message to a dozen people at once, all included parties would see all of the replies, even if they did not know each other.
It was a forced “reply to all”.
Now, with the arrival (for most of us) of the new messaging system, you can easily leave these conversations and save your inbox!
To leave the multi-person message thread, simply go up to the “Actions” button and in the drop-down select “Leave Conversation”. Then confirm that you want to leave.
Members of the conversation will see a “you have left” type message so they know you have departed and will not hear any of their further dialog.
In this same actions menu you can also chose to archive (save) or delete the message thread.
Yay! Facebook has finally made it easy to minimize the 500 bazillion notifications that usually occur after someone has included you in a group message. This is a real improvement!
