Just Ask Kim Site Metrics: 90 Day Evaluation

As a follow up to my rather extensive post on social media metrics and which numbers you MUST track, I have begun revealing my own site numbers.

90 Day Update

Prior Metrics were 12-21-09 to 12-31-09, so these are 3-21-10 to 3-31-10.

Visitors: 691/10 = 69.1 unique visitors per day
Page Views: 1174/10 = 117.4 page views per day
Avg Page Views Per Visitor = 1.70
Avg Time on Site: 1:41
Bounce Rate: 73.23%
New Visits: 67.87%

90 day Commentary: These numbers are actually markedly lower than my February numbers. My metrics took a serious hit when I stopped Tribe Syndicating as intensively due to the lack of traffic.

They have already begun to increase now that I’m at least for a while “back in the saddle” so to speak. There will probably be another dip or two due to the life issues I’m going through but as long as they stay trending upward overall, I’ll be fine. For a while there, my Google Analytics growth percentage (month vs month) was in the red (negative), whoops! Something about red numbers can really light a fire under ya!

You will notice in these numbers that my average page views and average time on site fell drastically. Those are both numbers that I will be keeping my eye on and can reflect poor page design and site layout.

I certainly can not say I’m happy with these numbers, but I felt the need to post them to show you what real life looks like. I look forward to stronger numbers on the 180 day review!

1. Be persistent and give yourself time for momentum to kick in.

2. Make up in numbers what you lack in skills.

3. Celebrate success at every step.
