Yup, that’s right… there’s one of them new “rules” things going on!
As I mentioned in the memo on 12-04-10, I’ve been in the process of cleaning up a lot of loose ends left from the year and one of them involves chasing down some SEO issues… which means a much tighter commenting policy.

One of the most frustrating things in blogging is wading through loads of spam.
Fortunately now there is a great plugin called G.A.S.P. that can help cut down spam rates by up to 95%.
Its stable, light weight and none of the bugs that captcha has and I highly suggest you check it out!

Facebook Page Tip
Keep an eye on the spam filter (under filters, under options).
False positives can get stuck in there if you allow others to share links.
I’ve had spam “disappear” that I left in there to use to do a training with. This means false positives would vanish too.
You dont want to lose quality engagement and insu…lt your commentor at the same time. A weekly check or after any page event is likely good enough.
