Business Success Roadtrip v1
Hour 13 – Congratulations On Your Victory!
As part of my major road trip to Savannah, GA Wordcamp and visiting with various friends and favorite places I documented my mindset and observations and how they relate to successful business development.
Be sure to check out the rest of the BSR series here.
It is very important that from the time we set out on a particular run – that we know where we are going! When Alice asked the Cheshire Cat which way she should go – and yet his inquiry proved she did not know where she wished to go – then he rightly informed her it didn’t matter which way she went! We MUST know what our destination looks, feels and tastes like! We must have exact definitions of when a task has or has not been accomplished so that we can correctly acknowledge its accomplishment (or put ourselves right back to task if it’s not really done!). Then, once we have arrived at our destination we must at least mentally celebrate the accomplishment and give ourselves a brief breather away from the project to help prevent burnout before we plow head first into the next phase of our business!
You can find out more about my Business Success Roadtrip series as well as links to others in the series and eventually information on how to download the whole set as mp3s for your own listening over on the announcement page for the Business Success Roadtrip volume 1!
Like it? Love it? Isn’t the feeling of accomplishment grand? How do you look after yourself after a long arduous project? What is your favorite reward for a strenuous task accomplished successfully? Do you struggle to balance the need for business breathers with the need to continue to plow forward and get results? How do you ensure that your celebration and brief breather doesn’t turn into slacking and evading the next run? If you’re business is more established perhaps you would share with the community a story about one of your more difficult projects and how you (and your team if they were involved) celebrated victory! I look forward to reading your stories!
