Check out the first guest post I’ve ever written… now posted at Nile Flore’s site Blondish.net!

I recently taught a class with my Profit Being You students where we talked about the methods of traffic generation. One of these methods is through Guest Blogging. So when Nile put out an open call for social media guest bloggers (check it out, you can too!)

If you’ve wondered about what your options are for doing business on Facebook, my post there is titled: Facebook Profiles, Groups & Pages for Business. I break down these three and get you pointed in the right direction!

Guest blogging is a really powerful way to grow your brand because it enables you to position yourself as an authority on a topic. Often you can guest blog on blogs that rank substantially higher than yours and have higher traffic numbers. This puts your article/post in front of more people, gets you more exposure and can result people from that site looking for more from you and coming to your site. It also, depending on the blog, may provide one or more backlinks either to your blog or to your associated pages (in my case, to my Facebook page/profile).  Be sure to check each blog authors requirements and permissions before submitting a post.

Have you started taking advantage of guest posting opportunities yet? If so, how have they helped your business? If not, what’s holding you back? I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Kimberly

Kimberly,
Congratulations on your success with your training courses and becoming a guest blogger! You are the type of leader who lives by what you teach. So refreshing to see that! Your students are very lucky to have you to assist them in their online ventures.

Have an awesome day,
Val ;)

You are a true leader Kimberly! You tell us how, give us an example and turn us loose! I have learned so much from you! I will soon be a guest writer now that I understand how it’s done!

Thanks Linda! It was a lot of fun. Definitely a learning experience! It’s kind of a strange feeling to write for a similar audience but not on my own blog! I will hopefully have more soon about guest blogging!

I’ve done a few guest posts but to tell you the truth I didn’t really enjoy doing them. I found it all too stressful. I mean I can live with writing a bad post on my blog but I couldn’t bear doing it on another persons blog, so now even when asked I respectfully decline.

Your topic caught my eye the very instant I step in your blog. :-) I’m a Facebook fanatic myself so no doubt I’ll be heading over to your guest post soon. I have seen how guest posting can be real beneficial especially in showcasing one’s passion and knowledge in niche-topics. I had a great experience with SME, Maxblogpress and Dailyblogtips, which are all a blessings in meeting new readers and even potential customers too. I just hope I have more time to do them often. :)

Keep up the good work Kim, it’s nice to be here.

At the beginning of building my blog, i didn’t know that links can actually “hurt” your site, so, having relevant links is more important that much links which aren’t relevant.Plus, we should build links naturally too. Thanks for sharing this

Congrats on you guest blog.

I have done a couple of guest blogs and have several ideas in the works for some new ones. And I have had several guest posts on my site.

I like the extra traffic and being able to promote other bloggers.

I learned that I need to have firm guidelines for my guest posts. This saves time and any possible problems.

I am getting your newsletter, however if you may change my email address it will be better, as this email does not present your newsletter in the proper format.

It was a pleasures to know that you are in IL I know a few people online from here and I feel good when I see them as if I am talking to my neighbors. I still do not have my face book page set which I want to set this week. I used to have Face book page, but then one day I got sick of it seeing all unwanted people there so I deleted it, I have to set it up again.

Nice talking to you. Check out my site and read my blog post,

I am interested in becoming a guest blogger in my field, how do you find good blogs that are looking for guest bloggers? Any good tips on how to start out now that you have done it yourself? Thanks for any insights that you can provide.

Congrats in your first guest post Kim. I certainly need to do my first post. I know it has a lot of advantages, like driving traffic and building reputation and backlinks. Right now I think I need to improve my writing, but that’s just me.
