Snazzy New Biz Cards!
When I finally admitted that I was long overdue for a new “business wardrobe’ for my brand’s visual branding, my friend and fantastic WordPress Developer-Designer Nile Flores stepped up to the challenge!
One of the first order of affairs was getting me some kick ass business cards (that match the upcoming site theme changes) so have to share at the Warrior Forum Live Event this weekend.
I’m not the easiest person to please but we finally got it all together and I got them ordered and shipped to arrive here at the event in the nick of time!
I was going to order them through VistaPrint (which rocks by the way) but when I discovered that FedEx Office had an “online printing” option that is a white-labeled VistaPrint and even though they did not offer PDF Proofs, the $15 savings on shipping was too sweet to pass up on (since I could check my proofs on VistaPrint). Cards were slightly higher but the shipping difference made it a sizeable savings.
These should give you an idea of the site redesign coming in the very near future too!
As you can see they came out pretty darn sharp and I’m thrilled with the effect. (Much better than the home-printed, on standard-paper, cards I used all of last year!)
The dual QR codes are a fun little experiment. QR codes are “bar codes” that smart phones can “scan” (need a free QR code reader, my awesome HTC Droid Incredible came with “ScanLife” but most phones can get one from their app store/market).
QR Code #1
This first one redirects the mobile phone, using a redirected URL that I can change later if needed (link courtesy of PrettyLink Pro), to my Newsletter subscription page: http://just-ask-kim.com/subscribe-to-just-ask-kim-newsletter/
QR Code #2
This (second) one is a “contact card” and has my name, phone, email and url that all comes up ready with one-click to be added to the viewer’s mobile phone’s phone book. This cuts down on typing necessary to add me to the contact list in those phones!
So as you can see, Nile did a great job accommodating all of my needs, producing a sexy visual brand for me, and even figuring how to fit not just one but BOTH of my QR codes on there!
So when you’re ready to step up your game and incorporate high-quality visual branding (important!) that has the ability to be used congruently across all of your social platforms (very important!) then be sure you look up Nile for results you’re going to love. You can find her contact form here and be sure to check her out on Facebook!
Are you taking advantage of the MASSIVE power of attending live events with your business endeavors? Are you utilizing business cards, flyers and other physical promotionals to reach different markets? Have you put QR codes to work for you in your promotional advertising? What results have you had with these approaches? What advice would you give those that are building online businesses that have not yet put offline tools back in their toolkit?
I look forward to reading your comments and sharing ideas below! Thanks for all your love!
