Business Success Roadtrip v1
Hour 0 – Keeping Excitement In Your Business

DartsAs part of my major road trip to Savannah, GA Wordcamp and visiting with various friends and favorite places  I documented my mindset and observations and how they relate to successful business development.

The visual/video of this hour came out poorly (what do you expect, its dark at 9pm!) but I challenge you to just listen to what I’m saying.

Staying fired up about what we’re building can seem hard when the future seems like a whole l of of work. Give this video a listen to learn how to keep the powerful emotion of excitement driving you forward.

You can find out more about my Business Success Roadtrip series as well as links to others in the series and eventually information on how to download the whole set as mp3s for your own listening over on the announcement page for the Business Success Roadtrip volume 1!

Like it? Love it? How are YOU staying fired up about your business in the face of the work required? If you found this tip useful I hope you’ll share and bookmark the page for others to enjoy!

Here’s to your unlimited success!
Kimberly

Hey Kimberly
Fabulous video! I am spending my Sunday (I know who does this on a Sunday lol) working out my strategy for my business for the next 12 months. I have been procrastinating on this for the past few hours, then seen your video which has totally kicked my butt into gear! Perfect timing I would say :-)
Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip and of course all the great things from Wordcamp!
cheers

Hey Nat! I think any day of the week is a great day for getting that sort of roadmapping ready! Actually for me Sundays are always my “gearing up for the week” kinda day so that would be my style!

How did your road mapping go? Did you get it all outlined and how do you feel about it now that you do? I think it’s really powerful that you’re moving forward with getting it outlined because that holds a lot of people back!

Great to see you rockin and rollin!

Thank you, Kim! This is what I needed to hear today! I’m working on my new blog and got myself all overwhelmed with the thousand things I hear I need to do….which have created days of self doubt and overwhelming fear. But I need to focus, and get the blog launched already! And, I need to break this down into pieces so I have the milestones to look forward to and keep the excitement going.

Thank you! Look forward to the rest of your thoughts from the road trip!

Aloha Kimberly,

Wonderful blog post and awesome video! Wow, you never cease to amaze me. Filming your whole road trip and using it to teach valuable lessons. Beautiful!

And yes loved it! How do I stay fired up? I keep on finding a new “WHY” which is very emotional and affects me in a very deep place. Then it’s simple to go back there and keep that fire burning.

Thank you for sharing and for asking! Looking forward to seeing your whole roadtrip!

Aloha,
Kellie :)

Hey sweetie! Glad you enjoyed it! yay! That means a lot coming from you!

It was initially started on a whim but now at this point its definitely transformed into something much more deliberate, intentional and powerful.

I’d said I wasn’t bringing personal development stuff back to this blog after I tightened this niche and I may not continue after this road trip series are done but for now I feel inclined to speak and these are far too “business” for my One True Journey blog so here they be!

My hour 2 video actually talks about finding a Why and I talk alot about Dreams and Dreads. I take it from an angle that most do not and I know I’ll get some flack for that but its all good :) You know I’m not scared of a little controversy LOL!

Hi Kim, it look forward to this video series, and what a wonderful 1.st, and the excitement you have, I really like that.

Isn’t it a bit difficult to make video and drive at the same time, please take care.

Thanks Soren! Actually, because I don’t have a dashboard mount for my camera yet – and because the mic on my camera (which happens to be my HTC Incredible Android phone) is sensitive and picks up road noise – all of my videos are recorded at gas stations! I bet the station attendants wondered what in the world I was doing sitting in my car talking to myself! I can picture them zooming their little surveillance cameras in trying to find out if I was on drugs or something! Nope, just excitement!

Kimberly,
Love your perspective on building your momentum. I like your idea of looking at your business as a series of new events moving towards your vision. This road map idea is great! This is like celebrating every win instead of trying to do it all at once.

Great sense of humor here girl!

Thanks Val! Really appreciate that! Looking back I giggle cuz I was all fired up and ready to rumble!

Exactly!! Definitely about celebrating all the baby steps and even the “fail forwards”, all of them move us forward and we have to add appreciation to the journey where we can!

You’re really a motivational speaker to me Kim. I do SEO and to be successful with that you have to have a lot of perseverance. Whenever I start to feel down I watch a video or read an article on how you have to follow your dreams or you won’t be successful.

Hey Kimberley
Love the video, it is really dark though, but doesn’t change the great info. Thank you for breaking it down, it’s exactly what I needed someone who had the time to tell me and show me..
I am going to look at some more of your videos.
Thanks Again
