Want To Have Some Fun With Viral Exposure?
Interested in getting others to promote your best content for you?
Want to be featured among some of the best of the best?
How does some viral promotion strike you?
Have I got your attention yet?
The Upcoming “Viral” T.E.A.M. Ebook Giveaway Series can deliver that and possibly a lot more!
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I’m a firm believer in the “Tribe” marketing model…
Leveraging the power of cross-promotions between friends and members of similar communities to expand our social media reach exponentially.
I’m constantly looking for win/win ideas for ways we can do this that benefit all parties… including the intended reader/receiver/client/customer.
The Syndication Alliance/Tribe Syndication model is a great weekly exposure model and I adore it but there are many ways that we can “up the game” for those that are ready!
This New Project Helps You Build Your Brand While Helping Others!
The idea here is to have those that have been “in the trenches” for a while, contribute one of their best articles or blog posts (or optionally write a new one) on the topic of that particular ebook in the series.
We then compile the ebook, complete with an “author box” and bio and picture for each author and all contributing authors promote the heck out of it.
The book will be TOTALLY free – and the desired goal is to not only get it into the hands of our own networks – but to get them to gift it to THEIR networks!
The goal is to put enough quality content in them that they take off with a life of their own, getting shared among friends as a “must read” on the topic.
A Word Of Thanks
While I’d been wanting to do something similar for a while, I frankly hadn’t had the brain-space to figure out how to bring it all together and get it into action.
Fortunately, friend and fellow blogger, Michele Welch @NewBizBlogger didn’t have that problem and she’s in the middle of coordinating a similar, albeit slightly different project within her own community.
If you write on topics related to internet marketing and blogging for money – AND – have been in the industry a while – get over and check out hers while she’s still doing a call for submissions.
Like hers… there are some requirements and groundrules.
You said Book”S”…. Plural?
Yes! Books – Plural. Even though my blog is well niched generally – my reader base comes from a number of sub-niches and sub-pockets and both I and my readers can benefit from me hosting books on more than one topic.
What’s that mean? It means you don’t have to worry if you write on personal development instead of internet marketing, just wait for your niche call to come around!
Rules? What Rules?
1. The book is FREE… yes F.R.E.E….. totally and completely unrestricted sharing. That means it may NOT be used as a list builder/opt-in. It means however that all of your readers can grab a copy and if they enjoy it send it straight out to their list, allowing them to give something of value to their list with out any concern! This is great for all parties!
2. This must be a “best of the best” and has to be one of your highest quality pieces of content. Approx 400-1000 words. It does not however need to be a piece that is not published elsewhere, since this will be handled in pdf format and is not republishing where Google might have issues with it. This means the work for you could be relatively low. Also, while I love the new bloggers to bits, this is designed for those that have been in the field for some time. I’m not drawing a hard and fast line, but its rare to see the caliber of exposure, existing network, traffic ranking and writing skills in a blogger under 6 months of multiple time per week consistent content creation.
3. Must Provide a Bio & Photo – this is your chance for exposure! In fact, its part of why I had to get my good friend Jacqui to help me revise my bio! Make sure you’ve got something that shines! Ask others for help!
4. Articles will be included in the book in the order in which they’re received. The faster you get them to me (After an open call for submissions for that topic), the better placement within the book. Capice? Also, no more than 25 total articles/posts will be accepted, and if too many are submitted on a singular topic they will be declined and a request for a different submission sent.
Something We Need!
We need someone that is skilled with graphics that can whip us up some e-covers as we put these together. I’m no artist. Going through fiverr might be an idea as well but since I’m doing the compilation, I’m asking someone else to contribute those.
We also need your help – even if you are not contributing – to help us spread the ebooks around! Give them to your list! Give them to your networks! Heck give them to everyone!
I don’t know about yours, but my lists adore when I give them stuff, regardless of who its by, that is high quality but they don’t have to go opt in for. I know yours will love you for it too!
I’ve got plans for at least three…. internet marketing, multi-level marketing, and personal development… with serious thoughts on two more …. blogging & health/wellness…
I am also giving thought to a few others that are more just passing ideas at the moment (open to ideas, leave them below!).
I don’t want to string this out too far with promises till we get the first couple done.
Since Michele’s book is internet/blog marketing and will be ready first of January (and I will be promoting as I am participating), I do not want to overlap with that project. (And if she does decide to go for a sequel, there may be a chance we work together on it.)
Our first call for articles, beginning with the “Personal Development” category, will be mid-Jan, with the goal to have the first book together early-Feb, as well as have a new call for articles at that time for the next book. That may get stretched out slightly depending on what I observe in response time to get articles/posts gathered.
Before you ask – YES – you may participate in any and all books you have high-quality, stellar content to contribute!
If we manage a “book a month club” pace, then you will have freebies to give to your communities for the first four to six months of the year… getting your list all good and buttered up with very little work on your part!
Let’s get creative and have some fun with this!
What are your thoughts on this? Wouldn’t mind some feedback on it.
So are you game? Want to be featured in an ebook? Post a comment below and let everyone know! And don’t forget to share this. The more people participate the more exposure for all of us!
PS: This is a separate project from the upcoming JV Giveaway event I want to coordinate this spring/early-summer that will be a list-builder event.
