Google’s head of the web spam division (and thus SEO), Matt Cutts answers:
“Do spelling and grammar matter when evaluating content and site quality?”
Check out what Matt has to say…
There are a number of ways to significantly improve your spelling and grammar results, even if English is not your native language!
One of my favorites is “After the Deadline” a free browser add-on, from the team at Automattic (makers of WordPress). You can also use it as a blog plugin if you want your guest authors to have access to it.
For a premium solution, check out Grammarly, which is one of the leading tools on the market.
If you are feeling uncertain about a particular grammar nuance you can usually ask that sort of question in any blogging group you belong too as well. (Just don’t ask them to read a whole post for free, as that is an unfair use of their time.) Alternatively, hire a proofreader!
