Syndication Alliance Forming

by Kimberly Castleberry on December 14, 2009

Synchronized Parachute Team Mid-JumpAre you a blogger, social media maven, or business owner looking to begin blogging or expand your presence in social media? Would you like to increase the reach of your information? Does the idea of helping others succeed at the same time strike you as a excellent perk? Would you be interested in achieving all of this, while helping others do the same, in a win/win situation, if it did not mean you have to buy anything from us or join any of our businesses if you didn’t wish to?  Does a win/win perk your interest? If so, keep reading!

I’m Kimberly Castleberry and I’m passionate about creating win/win environments that allow individuals to grow in a team setting. I believe that both teamwork and healthy team rivalry help us stretch our minds and our hearts, yielding growth for all participants. I have a background in running a large organization with tribal structure ( If you haven’t read Seth Godin’s book “Tribes”, I highly recommend it.) where all members have a active roll in the organization. I was yearning for a way to bring that win/win environment into the social media model that so many of us enjoy!

Recently I was introduced to a technique that’s being called “Tribal Syndication”. This is the current project of rising social media star Kary Rogney. He together with some of his tribe mates at “Team Empowered” have brought together and are currently teaching a “Tribe Syndication Mastery Intensive” which I am currently taking. As the guys presented the group structure that was required to make this work, I grew increasingly ecstatic, because this was exactly what I was looking for!

Once I ran some numbers I became very excited about the ability to drive traffic in a win-win way that doesn’t outright require any of us to get in the others existing business if we do not wish. This has been a serious “ah-hah” moment for me when I realized this was the piece I’d been missing! This gives us the tools to take my previously developed skill set and apply it to helping a wide range of people in social media and personal development learn to help each other! Can you tell I’m excited?!?!

The real brief version is that you form a small “tribe” (collective/group) of people with related interests … and that pocket of people, that usually quickly become friends … agrees to help syndicate the others content on all social media they use, as well as cross-post on each others blogs. With the use of a few unique plugins, this creates backlinks and social media links, and is a “natural” SEO method that drives numbers. In defense of relationship building however, it should be noted that exceeding 10% in “money posts” will be frowned upon. High content ratio is desirable. It does require that the members play as good sports though, and even if competing, still post and repost the others links as well. There has to be a commitment to the team! Everyone has to win or it fails.

So I’m going to form a group, think of it like a knitting circle, lmao… of people that are willing to work together to help the others have success, and in turn get some “free” promotion, and drive their blog/SM (social media). This first group has no agenda and no time line at this point. It will have a chance to evolve naturally and presents a learning opportunity for everyone. For me however, this is a test-bed for using this information to grow a massive organization. I want to take what we learn here, and scale it up, to benefit as many people as possible.

As soon as all the group spots are filled… and they are going fast… I will begin reviewing the calendar to find the best possible evening (CST, US time) hour for a once a week syndication session (to be held on Skype, which is free) for us to utilize. This “pow-wow” session is critical as its not only our syndication time but also our time to build friendships and strengthen bonds in the team. Group syndication is not expected to begin until the start of the new year however, due to the wonderful holiday season we are in. Anyone needing new blogs set up, or help moving to a hosted WordPress blog (and off of a free blog, which gets SEO penalized), I will be working with to help through that process between now and then. Don’t have a blog yet? You have plenty of time to allow me to help you get one launched and be ready for the new year!

2010 is going to be a powerful year! Will you make it happen by helping others do the same? I urge you to contact me via Skype at kimberly.castleberry ASAP to get signed up. Spaces on the team are going fast! Don’t miss your chance to join in this incredible sharing of information and techniques by some of social media’s finest people!

Check out the FAQ here. I suggest keeping an eye on it as it may change as the group comes together.

I wish you the very best Holiday season. Make it a POWERFUL 2010!
Kimberly

What a fantastic idea! I would love to join with you. Is there a niche focus or just on supporting eachother as possible. I do think the more we can help build up others in positive ways, the more we will build up ourselves. Social Media has done some amazing things for me and people I knew who needed help, like Baby Jaeli, so I'm definitely a believer! :-)

This Goddess is VERY excited about this project! What better way to bring the 'Social' back into social media and create a community in which each person can flourish and prosper? (I realize the Star Trek reference but it just seemed so relevent here LOL)

I love the idea! Talk about 'giving value', you're giving it a whole new meaning! Not too many people out there would offer to help get people set up with a blog. I can see you're an amazing leader perfectly suited to building an awesome Tribe community. What a way to kick off 2010. Very exciting stuff.

Great post. The minefield in the idea, however, is the great google monster seeing this as a link exchange ‘scheme’ however, if done correctly it could only benefit all involved. Good luck with it!
