There’s a lot of us at the moment going through some major turbulence in our lives.
There is a lot of “change energy” in the air of late. It’s causing a lot of old patterns to be shaken off and a lot of new bonds to be built. It’s called a lot of us to get clear, get congruent, stand for what we need, and take action that might even in this phase be scaring us to death.
I find myself flowing between two states, one of allowing myself to admit that yeah some of this hurts like hell and being okay with that fact, and the other of steeling myself to stand up from that place of hurt, and keep moving forward, through the pain.
While it can be hard to allow ourselves to be in a place of vulnerability and pain and accepting of our own journey… it can sometimes be just as hard to find our feet again after we’ve been there a while.
This is a video that’s been a long time favorite of mine and was recently reshared by my friend Justin Glover in his post “The Difference Between Living And Dying”. While on the surface, it’s about football, I challenge you to listen… really listen…
So, if you’re in a phase of mourning, this video may not be for you. If however, you’re fighting to get back on your feet… or stay on your feet like I have been this week… you may find this video calls to the internal pull to keep going…
It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the magnitude of the tasks before us. We can lose sight of the tree because we’re staring at a forest. Remember that each inch, each baby step, each single movement forward is progress! Don’t give up on yourself! Recognize the small victories that compound over time, recognize and honor the work that goes into them. You are magnificent.
Now … I can’t make you do it, but I can ask… will you join me in fighting for that inch?
What are YOU going to do?
