No Time To Watch That Video? ….
Watch It Later!
Youtube recently released a new feature as part of their video embed code system that allows viewers to bookmark (save) embedded videos from blogs etc to watch later on youtube.com
For those of us that often do your blog surfing while multi-tasking on webinars (or from work… just sayin’) etc this is a great way to be sure we don’t miss out on the video that were including in a post we enjoyed.
So next time you’re enjoying a post with a Youtube video that you don’t have time to watch, look to see if there is a “Watch Later” button in the upper right corner.
If the video was embedded using YouTube’s new iFrame code (which I use but which some blogs need a minor modification to work with), you will see a button that says “Watch Later”.
Click the button and Youtube will remember the video and later when you are on youtube.com homepage you will be able to easily access the video.
I originally switched to the iframe embed code because it was worth it to me to set it up because it makes my videos work on mobile devices… no more empty spots where the video should be for visitors from cell phones!
As the iframe embed code becomes more and more popular and standard you should start seeing this around the web a lot more.
What a great time saver!
